Community dos and don’ts :
Welcome newcomers. We love it when another person has the same mindset as our troop. Some research, some queries are very common. Look around on the web, and on thehoardplanet.com to see if they’ve already been answered. Check the topics pinned to the top of each branch for basic questions.
Search to see if the topic has already been covered. It can be frustrating for our members if they have to answer the same question repeatedly. Be specific. When posting a recommendation, or a question, the more context and specificity you can give, the better for everyone. We can’t read your mind and we don’t want to misunderstand your motives.
We appreciate your genuine feedback in a helpful and constructive manner. Use common sense and balance when seeking advice. Make your own inquiries, especially around subjects like health and safety.
Be sincere in your contributions. Post with purpose; to inspire, enable or share with the world.
Use the forum to promote a business, product or website, commercial or otherwise. We do not permit business accounts on thehoardplanet.com or any sort of advertising in profiles, avatars, and signatures (Adding value to conversations is the best way to build an audience for your expertise.)
Advertise or spam. We don’t mind if you include our links in your own blogs or other websites in your messages, provided it’s relevant and contextual information, but commercial solicitation, straight-up advertising, or contributions designed to promote traffic to another site aren’t acceptable.
Defame, harass, flame or hold grudges. If your post attacks anyone in a personal nature, either directly or indirectly, it is not suitable for THP.
Be-or-feed a troll. Trolls post messages or content deliberately designed to get the blood boiling. Replying to or arguing with a troll is feeding. The best thing to do is to ignore, and let us know about them so we can deal with it.
Discuss how to commit illegal activity (like buying drugs, avoiding visa restrictions, ticket scalping). It’s OK to talk about the existence of these social problems, but don’t advise how and where to do them. Create content of a discriminatory or derogatory nature. Create explicit content. Material which would be restricted or considered ‘adult’ (such as pornography or relating to graphic violence).
Conduct research without telling people. THP is open to cooperation with professional researchers, but you need to contact us with details about your needs and interests. Studying our community members without their – and our – permission is not appreciated.
Post external surveys or links to surveys on our platforms. We are happy for you to use any information that is already available on our platforms provided. you contact us first, but it’s not a space designed for individuals, any research or marketing surveys will be removed.
Post external links to crowdfunding sites on The Hoard Planet. We’re sure that your cause is worthy, your product is cool, your campaign is rewarding but THP isn’t the right platform to share these links and they will be removed. Impersonate another person, including THP troop.
We do not permit businesses to create fake reviews and will not allow them to rebut or contact users to get maximum benefit, remember to make your review constructive, balanced and full of as much context as possible.

Trademarks and Copyrights :
All content on the sites is owned by The Hoard Planet (IND) or licensed to us by our registered users and other licensees. You may not copy, store, scrape or use any part of our site without permission. Our trademarks may not be used in any way or for any purpose without our permission.
More Information About (Copyrights) :
Our brand (which includes our trademarks like The Hoard Planet name and logo) is our most important asset because that is how you recognize us and our products.
We need to make sure others don’t use our brand without permission to protect our legal rights and ensure you’re not misled or confused by others using our name. You need to be able to tell the difference between what really is The Hoard Planet product or service or something we have recommended, and what isn’t.
Generally speaking, we don’t have a problem with businesses stating in their promotional material or on their websites that they have been recommended in The Hoard Planet products (but only if that’s true). But we are very strict about not letting businesses use The Hoard Planet name as part of their name so you can be sure that The Hoard Planet school or café has absolutely nothing to do with us and is not a genuine part of THP. If you see something that looks a bit suspicious, feel free to let us know.
Use of another company’s name (or similar words) in a website’s domain name in order to try to misdirect people to your own site is known as ‘cybersquatting’ and it’s a kind of trademark infringement.
Where you are right now is our official website. We have associated sites, which you can link to from our homepage. If you come across a site that appears to be run by The Hoard Planet but is not linked to from our main site, chances are it’s not legit. So let us know!
We invest a lot of effort, time, money and individual creativity in our products and that hard work’s protected by copyright. So, permission is needed before reproducing our content. We do give permission, for example to educational institutions and non-profit organizations, and we also license it to other businesses (which is why you’ll sometimes see our content on other websites). In all cases, we require that we’re acknowledged as the owners of that content.
There are times when permission to use content is not needed (for instance, fair dealing for the purposes of criticism or review, or if you’re just quoting a snippet). And obviously we don’t own the kind of information that anyone can dig up (like opening hours or train timetables). But we most certainly do own the choice of words we’ve used, and the outcomes of the way we compile information or data. If you’re interested in licensing our content, contact [email protected]

You also consent to your content being altered, edited or adapted for such uses, or to ensure your content does not infringe these terms or breach the law, as we see fit. We will ask you before publishing your real name.
